About Julia Croft
I was originally a secondary teacher and I am now a qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist. I have been working with therapies for 6 years, initially Reiki and then adding Hypnotherapy. I really enjoy working with those who seek my help and have created a research focus with Dental phobias, (of which there are many) in order to help more people. e.g This can cover pain, needle problems, even dental workers uniforms, which trigger fears.
Having trained at The Clifton Practice I continue with Professional Development all the time to improve quality of service to those most in need of my support. My qualifications include: HPD, DHP CBT(Hyp), SFBT(Hyp)Membership of NCH(Reg), Original(Eastern) Reiki, B.Ed.Hons.Cert.Ed. I am also beginning to contribute to one course at the practice.
As a member of the NCH I have to adhere to strict professional guidelines for client and therapist’s benefits. Confidentiality of data is compulsory and also practice insurance. I am also regularly CRB checked.
Hypno/Psychotherapy Techniques used are, SFBT(Hyp) -Hypnotherapy with Solution Focused Brief Therapy, NLP - Neuro Linguistic Programming and, CBT(Hyp)- Hypnotherapy with Cognitive Behaviour Therapy.

Continuing into 2012 - I am pleased to say that my registration with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council will continue, so that the NHS can use it to refer patients to, who seek Complementary Therapies: www.cnhcregister.org.uk and the collaboration with a Bath Dentist goes ahead in more detail. I also teach small sections on the HPD course for the Clifton Practice now.
In addition the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, launched in April last year, goes from strength to strength. Visit this link for a taster www.afsfh.co.uk David Newton's Clifton Practice website states:
The butterfly reminds us that growth and transformation do not have to be traumatic.
